Greystone Quarry

Lezant, Cornwall, England, UK

A modern quarry worked for aggregates for road building, cutting through the site of various older silver and lead mines.

Mindat lists over sixty mineral species from the site – presumably when it cuts through the mineralised areas of the former mines.

After the smaller mines, the quarry was originally worked by Cornwall County Council but is now worked by David Smith Quarry and Landfill.
