Old Gunnislake Mine

Clitters United Mines, Gunnislake, Calstock, Cornwall, England, UK

A former copper mine which has since been built over, well known for a range of mineral specimens.

Showing the single result

Old Gunnislake Mine produced a range of minerals, particularly of interest to collectors of radioactive minerals – including autunite, meta-autunite, torbernite, meta-torbernite and uraninite.

Dumps from the site have been removed, although from the mindat page it seems (as of 2006) there may still be access to the inside of the mine, which is partially flooded.

The site may also be known as Gunnislake Mine.
