Penlee Beach

Newlyn, Penzance, Cornwall, England, UK

Penlee Beach is a public beach near Penzance. It is a stones throw from Penlee Quarry, but different minerals are found here.

Mindat lists 16 minerals from the site. These are likely from a, or several offshore lodes that are different to those worked by the local quarry.

It is possible the quarry has at certain points dumped material onto the beach, and there may be some contamination between the two.
