Geevor Mine

Pendeen, St Just, Cornwall, England, UK

Geevor mine is a former tin mine in Cornwall, and now a tourist attraction.

Geevor Mine was worked from at least 1791 to 1991, when it was eventually closed after two hundred years of work.

It now forms a centre point of the tin mining and industrial heritage attraction which has been built around the site.

Mindat lists over fifty minerals from the site.

If you are especially interested in the Geevor Mine, keep an eye out for the book “Geevor” by Cyril Noall.
