Dean Quarry

Dean Quarry is a former aggregate quarry worked until 2005 which occasionally provided some mineral specimens.

Mindat lists over 20 minerals from the site, particularly specimens of analcime, natrolite, stilbite, prehnite and calcite.

More recently, developers attempted to turn the site into a ‘mega quarry’, but the appliccation was turned down.
