Yes, some of the pictures are of other shapes of cabochons – we use a single listing for most shapes and sizes.

A bullet shaped cabochon is technically not the correct term, as ‘cabochon’ specifically means ‘small dome’, and bullets are… well, not small domes.

However, the term is broadly used by jewellery makers to refer to a stone with a flat back, and it is used in this sense here too. The bullets have a flat back – or more accurately, base.

I’ve seen a couple of different types of bullet cabochons – some that are vaguely in the right shape and some that are specifically, deliberately in the right shape.

These are not an item I’ll be restocking when they sell, so if you like them, order them now – there will be no more coming.
