Hildoceras Ammonite Study Piece

An unusual piece - an Ammonite fossil carved in an attempt to show how an Ammonite would have looked.

This piece is cut from a single Hildoceras Ammonite, and measures 50x44x18.5MM.

While obviously, it will never be perfectly scientifically accurate, I feel it is a piece with such interesting uniqueness that it may well help the idea to sink into the memory.

I have seen similar pieces where the organic parts have been made from polymer clay, but never one carved from a single piece of stone.
