Pleuroceras Ammonite fossils
Pleuroceras Ammonite fossils, from Germany. These Ammonites come from a small area around Buttenheim, Unterstürmig, and Eggolsheim in Bavaria.
The pyritised Ammonites have been given a light brushing with a brass brush to give them a golden shine.
These specimens are typically Pleuroceras Spinatum, but some may be Pleuroceras solare.
Currently, our stock comprises of:
- Pyritised Pleuroceras - A nicely detailed partial Ammonite, 40x36x15MM approximately.
- Pyritised Pleuroceras - A nicely detailed partial Ammonite, especially along the outer edges. A 'spine' running between the two sides of the Ammonite is exceptionally preserved. 51x43x21.5MM approx.
- Pyritised Pleuroceras - A larger section of a single whorl. 67x28x25.5MM approximately.
- Pyritised Pleuroceras - A small damaged Ammonite and a slightly larger impression sitting on matrix. There appears to be another fossil inside this stone if you're brave enough to split it. 63x51x33MM approx.
- Pyritised Pleuroceras - Fragments of three Ammonites, possibly more. One is almost complete. 60x37x23.5MM approx.
- White Pleuroceras - A nice specimen with one largely complete Ammonite in the centre, and numerous fragments and imprints in the matrix. 56x50x18MM approx.
- White Pleuroceras - Two white partial Ammonites that have come free of their matrix. 28x20x9MM and 26x17.5x8.5MM approx.
- White Pleuroceras - Positive and negative nodule - two halves of a split piece. Contains numerous Ammonites and Ammonite fragments. 50x37.5x25MM approx.
- White Pleuroceras - Positive and negative nodule - two halves of a split piece. Contains one nicely preserved internal fragment, and two fragments on the outside. 58.5x34x24.5MM approx.
- Grey Pleuroceras - Positive and negative nodule - two halves of a split piece. Contains one nicely preserved specimen, mostly intact. 49x39.5x27MM approx.
