Dactylioceras Ammonites

Nice fossil specimens of Dactylioceras ammonites from around the world.

Currently all our stock is from Yorkshire, in the UK.

We sometimes have positives, negatives, and pos/neg pieces. For those new to ammonite collecting, these ammonites typically occur in nodules, and are split with a hammer or a chisel. A 'positive' refers to the piece with the ammonite fossil itself in; a 'negative' refers to the impression/imprint that the fossil left within the stone. A 'pos/neg' refers to both pieces, the rock has been split well and both halves are retrieved.

Some of these ammonites are partials, damaged either by splitting the nodule or by erosion of the sea itself. While obviously I'd love to stock perfect pieces, this does also allow us to get some bargain pieces for you.
