Vernier Calipers

Our range of vernier calipers, as part of our budget jewellery line - well, I say range - we only have mini plastic calipers available at present.

Vernier calipers are an easy to use method of measuring small gaps and objects when a reasonable degree of accuracy is required.

Now, I will point out that if exact accuracy is required, you should purchase a quality steel pair of verniers or a micrometer; these are budget tools for the desk, not high end engineering items.

These are a great way of finding out that the beads on that strand are a hair over 6MM in diameter, extremely quickly. They're also, frankly, cheap - so it isn't going to be the end of the world if they're lost, or left in the toolbox for months.

Our current stock consists of:

• Mini orange calipers measuring 107MM long, with a maximum capacity of 81MM measured. They are a bright orange plastic which makes them easier to find on a 'busy' bench.
