Small red Quartz cluster specimens from Morocco, measuring around 30MM long approximately.

The red colouration is likely caused by inclusions in the stone, such as iron or Pyrite. Many pieces of Quartz have iron staining on when found; this is usually cleaned off before they are sold.

These pieces, however, have a fairly deep red colour which is trapped deep in the stone itself. They are only typically quite small pieces, but are usually quite nicely terminated, and a good shape for Quartz.
