Lovely little specimens of Dumortierite included Quartz.

Dumortierite forms as small, thin crystals inside Quartz - sometimes the amount of inclusions make the Quartz almost entirely blue - this is generally referred to as 'dumortieritic quartz' or simply 'blue quartz'.

These specimens are at the lower end of the quality spectrum, typically with only a few minor inclusions although there are some nicer pieces too!

• C grade: milky/fragmented and included pieces, mostly with lots of Dumortierite but some have a limited amount in.
• B grade: slightly milky, mostly clear, some inclusions - good quality Dumortierite inclusions.
• A grade: very clear Quartz crystals with good quality Dumortierite inclusions.

We sell fragments as well as whole points. The fragments are usually smaller broken pieces.
