Opal Specimens – Australian Opal (Mintabie)

These are specimen pieces of Opal from the Mintabie Opal fields of Australia.

Some of these pieces may be suitable for cutting and polishing, but not all - they are intended for mineral specimens only.

 

Our current stock includes:

  • #1 - 75x41x40MM - a thick seam of Opal in a sandstone matrix, which shows good colour when wet. It does have some small surface fractures, so unfortunately I don't know if it will be cuttable!
