Interesting little Mookaite specimens, from the single locale in Australia – along Mooka creek, relatively close to Carnarvon.
These pieces are probably not going to find a home in most collections, to be honest.
They’re not the most attractive specimens – a mismatch of browns, orange, red, yellow and cream colours. Currently, the pieces we sell measure around 30-40MM long.
Mookaite is usually sold polished, which really does bring it out and show off the colour contrast. We often see it tumbled, or sold as cabochons.
