Malachite from Bampfylde Mine, North Molton, North Devon, Devon, UK

Specimen pieces of green Malachite on an iron-stained red matrix with bands of Quartz.

A nice specimen of Devon Malachite, and quite 'silky' too in one area.

There is a crack in the matrix with a small amount of Malachite visible; someone may be able to cleave this to make another specimen but I have left this decision to the purchaser.
