Cool little Galena specimens from all around the world - most commonly from Bulgaria or Morocco.

Galena has been used as a lead ore for millenia - it was mined heavily by the Romans, and has been mined for most of the time since!

As Galena contains a large amount of lead, you should take care when handling it and wash your hands afterwards.
