Bright green Fluorite crystals from the Berta quarry and mine near Sant Cugat del Vallès.
Berta Quarry has served a few uses; an ancient metal ore mine, a modern aggregate quarry, and more recently, a waste management project.
Numerous species of minerals are found here - various ore minerals, including sphalerite, goethite, vanadinite, cuprite, galena, azurite, etc - and, of course, fluorite!
We currently have a single specimen in stock:
- #1 - 30.7x27.7x21MM - a small area of bright green fluorite crystals over a grainy matrix rock, possibly diorite. Brightly fluorescent.
