Banded/striped Flint cabochons for jewellery making
This is one of those materials I was a little suspicious of when I first saw it.
It was in a small Polish museum, where the material is known as Krzemień pasiasty or 'Polish diamond'. I don't speak Polish, so this was a little confusing to say the least, and I thought maybe something had been lost in translation.
Still, I liked it. I now know it is a form of banded flint, found around the Świętokrzyskie Mountains in central Poland.
When I saw it available for sale I figured I'd get some and see what you lot think - do you like it too? 🙂
