Rough purple Corundum specimens
As a collector, you may love these lower grade pieces of rough purple Corundum.
These are definitely not cutting grade, and are a dirty rough red-purple colour. They are all fluorescent to some extent under 365nm.
You may notice these stones do tend to show off the hexagonal shapes common to Corundum (Ruby, Sapphire, etc). They often have trigonal growth formations on their faces, but not always.
