Mangano Calcite cabochons for jewellery making, an interesting pale pinky-grey stone with a bright pink fluorescence under UV light.
Calcite is really a bit too soft for jewellery making - it is only a 3 on the Mohs scale. This means it will scratch in contact with various things including steel, cutlery, dishes etc - so it is really only suitable for making pendants.
Under a UV light it has a bright pink glow to it - it'll glow nicely under blacklights, and possibly in some nightclubs too.
