Bicolour Tourmaline in Quartz
Interesting little specimens of bicolour Tourmaline in Quartz - Tourmaline can occur in many colours and these do often mix, even within a single crystal.
Typically the crystals have a coloured core, but sometimes they have a different coloured 'cap'.
One of the most famous forms of bicoloured Tourmaline is referred to as 'watermelon Tourmaline', typically a green crystal with a pink core.
Our current stock includes:
- #1 - 121x70x50MM - an iron stained piece of Quartz with numerous Tourmaline crystals - primarily green but with hints of pink and red too. I wouldn't refer to it as Watermelon Tourmaline but it isn't far off. From an unknown location.
