Andradite Garnet from Toron Mines, Roca del Toron, Espinavell, Molló, Ripollès, Girona, Catalonia, Spain
Andradite Garnet specimens from Toron Mines, Spain.
These mines seem to have a range of names, and some of it is perhaps my inability to fluently speak spanish - the minerals were originally labelled 'Mina de la Roca del Turo', which led me to a Spanish language forum discussing the name given to the mines on the english speaking site Mindat: https://www.foro-minerales.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6178
From that thread and a bit of further research I've decided on Toron Mines; this is what mindat use but the spanish labels are included too.
Andradite is a slightly uncommon form of garnet, often a very dark colour ranging from dark red to brown to grey to black.
