San Camilo Mine

Vista Alegre, Cartagena, Murcia, Spain

A small relatively unknown mine which produced feathery blue baryte specimens.

I was not able to find much information about this mine online; this is possibly just due to my poor searching and lack of Spanish knowledge.

Mindat lists 10 mineral species from the site, but only baryte and fluorite have photographs alongside them, the barytes being far the most interesting – blue and feathery in appearance.

The links below have numerous photographs both of specimens and of the interior of the mine, although only several small workings are visible.
