La Encontrada Mine

Molvizar, Granada, Andalusia, Spain

A former copper and cobalt mine located in the Cerro del Tesorillo area exploited primarily for oxides used in ceramics.

Showing the single result

Mindat lists 27 minerals from the site, including azurite, calcite, conichalcite, erythrite, and malachite.

I wasn’t able to find too much information on the mine, but did find documentation showing it was open and active in 1858.
