Haile Moor Mine

Haile, Copeland, Cumbria, England, UK

A former iron ore mine in Cumbria, operated between 1941 and 1973.

Mindat lists seven minerals from the site, including baryte and hematite – the mine was probably worked primarily for hematite and goethite.

There may be some information on the running of the mine at the Florence Heritage Centre.
