Dunside Reservoir

Dunside reservoir is a Silurian era SSSI (site of special scientific interest) in the Lanarkshire area.

The reservoir contains exposed banks containing Silurian arthropod and fish assemblages, including uncommon and rare species of jawless fish, horseshoe crabs, eurypterids and pod shrimp.
Collecting is prohibited without landowners permission and a licence from Scottish Natural Heritage due to damage to the site.
