Polished slices of Sauropod dinosaur bone
Slices of genuine Sauropod dinosaur bone with plenty of 'spongy' bone visible, polished on both sides.
These pieces all come from the Atlas Mountains of Morocco and date to approximately 152-140 million years ago, around the transition from the Jurassic to the Cretaceous.
They are cut from small pieces of bone with little to no distinguishing features, but when polished they become a cool display piece.
Some of the spongy bone areas containing calcite can be fluorescent under UV light, but this is not a certainty.
They could be cut into cabochons if you feel the need - they're a pretty good size for that for anyone without a slab saw.
