Nice distinct crystals of rutile from an uncommon locale, Mula Ghani Baba in Pakistan.

They are somewhere between a gun-metal grey and a dark scarlet red - when backlit, the red tone often comes through, especially on the thinner specimens.

These are extremely lustrous crystals, most are striated, and the odd one or two are terminated too - overall, rather good specimens.
