Rough Amethyst

We sell a few different grades of Amethyst - perfect for mineral collectors and gem cutters alike.

Our lower grade pieces are ideal for collections or for rock tumbling - our higher grade pieces are lovely quality, perfect for both collections and gem cutting - cabochons and maybe even facets!

Our current stock includes:

• 3-7MM Zambian Amethyst, rough, some pieces may be suitable for faceting. Sold singly. Good colour, some pieces may be cuttable - some pieces may already have cut sides, as this is material from a retired lapidary studio.
• 7-12MM Zambian Amethyst, rough, some pieces may be suitable for faceting. Sold singly. A couple have been tumbled. Good colour, some pieces may be cuttable - some pieces may already have cut sides, as this is material from a retired lapidary studio.
• 12-20MM Zambian Amethyst, rough, some pieces may be suitable for cats/facets. Sold singly.  Good colour, some pieces may be cuttable - some pieces may already have cut sides, as this is material from a retired lapidary studio.
• Various poor quality pieces of Zambian Amethyst, heavily included and stained. Sold as 100 gram packets.

The pictures you see here are representative of the products and are usually not the exact item you will receive. Where various grades are available we do try to photograph each grade - but some photographs are still on their way!

When buying items by weight: In some instances, 100 grams may contain 1-3 pieces; however, an order of 500 grams may contain 1-2 much larger pieces. If you require a specific size, please get in touch before ordering to ensure we can supply sized pieces.
