Roscoelite mica from Merelani Hills, Lelatema Mountains, Simanjiro District, Manyara Region, Tanzania
Roscoelite is a vanadium bearing form of Mica, which is usually a light to dark emerald green colour.
In some countries, roscoelite often occurs alongside radioactive minerals, such as carnotite; however, the pieces sold here have been tested with a geiger counter and do not register above a normal background level.
I've personally got a little collection of different coloured mica so I was rather pleased to find these green pieces at an affordable price.
