The site does produce a range of minerals – mindat lasts 47. It is the type locality for 3, Axinite-(Mg), Merelaniite, and Richardsite.
It produces fine specimens of various minerals, but by far the best known from the area is the zoisite – the blue variety known as tanzanite.
