Polished pieces of the conglomerate material known as puddingstone.

Essentially this material is a bunch of flint pebbles, stone chips, etc, cemented together by another silicate mineral.

This material comes from Hertfordshire.

Typically, the front is polished, and sometimes the backs are too - in some cases, they are not.
