Faceted Moldavite tektites for jewellery makers

Gorgeous faceted Moldavite - a green Tektite from the Czech Republic. A tektite is an unusual type of material created when an asteroid or meteorite impacts our planet, superheating mud, stone, and other debris - essentially forming a kind of glass - in this case, the green glass known as Moldavite.

This material is getting rarer and rarer, and we can't guarantee getting any more in. There are often concerns over whether or not Moldavite is genuine; it is a little easier to tell with faceted specimens as you are often able to see the inclusions of lechatelierite.

Our current stock includes:

• 5x3MM approx faceted stones, sold singly. These are not calibrated, and are 'roughly' 5x3MM - think 4.8-5.2 x 2.8-3.2MM for an idea of the sizing.
