Slabs and offcuts of green Malachite from various locations, primarily Africa. Malachite is a green Copper ore that is often used as a decorative stone due to its decorative banding.
These pieces have either been polished and then broken or damaged, or are cut but unpolished. Their only real use is for recutting - this should only be done by experienced lapidary artists with suitable extraction though, as airborne Malachite dust is toxic.
We currently have two small parcels in stock, nice quality pieces which are damaged or very weirdly shaped pendants. They aren't large pieces but you'll get some nice cabochons.
We also have some randomly chosen pieces which are mostly freeform cabochons that arrived broken. 🙁
