Garnet crystals from an uncommon locale, laid down in the crater bottom from the weathering of Almandine bearing Dacite.
Most of these are almost complete crystals, but do often have damage, missing edges, etc. There are some fragments, too.
They're rather small; up to about 10MM maximum. I sell them by weight, as its easier than individually.
- 0-3MM crystals, two gram packs - approximately 15-30 pieces depending on how fragmentary they are.
- 3-10MM, ten gram packs - approximately 15-30 pieces depending on how fragmentary they are.
- Various numbered pieces, all of which measure 4-8MM approximately - honestly, they're too small to measure properly and individually. They will all make nice micromounts.
I don't think I'll get any more crystals from this locale - these were part of a geologists old collection.
