Fossilised Coral Bead Strands for jewellery making

Small creamy brown coloured fossilised Coral beads, with the detailed imprints of ancient marine life visible on every bead.

This is agatised Coral; coral that has been replaced over millions of years by Silica in the form of Agate. The beads seem to come from a range of different types of corals, based on the different patterns on the beads. They vary in colour from an off-white, beige, to a yellowy brown or brown-red.

It’s worth pointing out that these beads are not an immediate standout in your face kind of bead – I’m writing this with the strands a foot away from me and I can only tell they’re fossil coral because of experience. Because of this, it may be worth pairing them with other contrasting beads, or possibly with beads of another fossil material. However – they are incredibly unique.
