Fluorite from Bere Alston Mines, Bere Ferrers, West Devon, Devon, UK
Specimen pieces of blue Fluorite from Bere Alston Mines, Devon, UK.
Blue Fluorite is quite uncommon, and to find some from the UK is very nice indeed.
These specimens were originally labelled as "Tamar Mine, Bere Ferres", which - as far as I can tell, is not a real mine. They are most likely from the East Tamar Consols, which is a set of combined mines, a few of which produce blue Fluorite - Lockridge Mine and Furzehill Mine. Unfortunately the labelling just wasn't the best on these.
