Nice specimen of fluorite and calcite from the Okorusu mine, Namibia.

Fluorescent piece - it is best under 310nm in my opinion - although mixed lights would be best.

• 255nm - shortwave UV - slight pink response to the calcite, no response from the fluorite.

• 310nm - midwave UV - bright pink response from the calcite, no response from the fluorite.

• 365nm - longwave UV - slight pink response from the calcite, typical purple response from the fluorite.

Comes in a cardboard tray with our ID label. Namibian minerals are often top notch, and Okorusu produces some of the best known Namibian fluorite around.
