Calcite stalactite from Coombefield Quarry, Isle of Portland, Dorset, UK

Now this really is a rare piece! I haven't seen one quite like this before.

Not only is this a rare locale, but an orange calcite stalactite - not a common find at all.

The stalactite looks almost like its one of the more common copal stalactites you sometimes see from the Dominican republic, but it is solid stone.

• #1 - 86.8x15.3x14.6MM - a very nice piece; one end has a hole in but this does not go all the way through to the other end.
