Calcite specimens from various locales around the UK. Calcite is a popular mineral but many people tend to go for acid-treated foreign Calcites, which have bright colours and a waxy lustre.

British Calcites are perhaps overlooked, some can be very nice crystalline specimens. Please note, crystalline Calcite like #1 can be very fragile.

Our current stock includes:

• #4 - 31.5x32.8x26.7MM - from Hunstanton, Norfolk. An odd one - grey-black Calcite nodule in Hunstanton Red matrix. Self collected, not seen anything quite like this since.
