Aura bead strands
Aura stones have exploded in popularity recently – Aqua Aura, Angel Aura and Titanium Aura are all incredibly popular.
Essentially, these are materials which have been coated with a metal film, causing iridescence.
In some cases, the beads are Quartz, Amethyst, glass, Opalite glass, or another material – unfortunately, there is not much information available online regarding the manufacture of Aura coated stones, crystals, and glasses. They are typically Quartz.
These beads are not freeforms, but they are also not calibrated beads – as such, an 8MM strand may contain beads that are 7.5MM or 8.5MM – the sizes may vary a little. Obviously, this doesn’t apply to the chip beads – these are random sizes!
