Ystrad Einion Mine

Furnace, Ysgubor-y-coed, Ceredigion, Wales, UK

A historic lead, silver, zinc and copper mine worked between the 18th century and 1903.

The Coflien site report does mention that above ground public access to the site is permitted, and that the main shaft etc has been capped.

There are some listings on 28DaysLater for the site, showing underground explorations of the mine, whether or not there is still access to the site I’m not sure.

The ‘peoples collection’ site linked below has a video recreation of the mines workings.

Mindat lists 27 mineral species from the site, including fine specimens of schulenbergite, often with serpierite.
