Pentyrch, Cardiff, Wales, UK

Taff’s Well Quarry is an aggregate quarry northwest of Cardiff which exploits carboniferous limestone. It is famous amongst mineral collectors for stepped calcite.

Showing the single result

The unusual stepped Calcite from the site is very popular amongst calcite collectors especially.

The site is a SSSI as of February 2012 due to the interesting mineralisation.
