Newhurst Quarry

Shepshed, Charnwood, Leicestershire, UK

Newhurst Quarry is a former quarry in Leicestershire, which is now a waste-from-energy site.

Showing the single result

The quarry is now at least partially an incinerator; whether the quarry or buildings remain is unknown.

The site was a SSSI and a GCR; as well as the only British site with the minerals coulsonite and vesignieite.

It seems unlikely any further specimens will be collected from the site.
