Mountsorrel Quarry

Quorn, Charnwood, Leicestershire, England, UK

A large aggregate quarry extracting granodiorite, which also produced some mineral specimens.

Showing the single result

The quarry has been operated since at least 1905, and a planned extension to the quarry will potentially increase its working time until 2058.

The site has occasionally produced a range of mineral specimens when digging through mineralised areas. Mindat lists 13 minerals from the site.
