The Monsant mines are a series of abandoned copper workings in the Bosc de la Mina area of Hortsavinyà.

Minerals found at the site include azurite, auricalcite, barite, bornite, calcite, chalcopyrite, chrysocolla, galena, goethite, garnet, hematite, magnetite, malachite, pyrite, quartz, siderite sphalerite, and some very nice examples of vesuvianite.

It appears the mines may be known by several names, including:

  • Monsant mines
  • Can Monsant
  • Can Castelles
