Manod Quarry

Ffestiniog, Gwynedd, Wales, UK

Former quarry worked for aggregate from the 1800s until 1972.

This site should not be confused with the nearby slate quarry where Britain stored artworks in World War 2, which is sometimes known as New Manod Quarry.

The site produced interesting micro mineral specimens including anatase, brookite, and synchysite-Ce.

The site may also be known as Manod New Setts Quarry or Gwaith Setts.

The quarry is now partially used by a shipping company for storage etc.
