Kingswood Mine

West Buckfastleigh, Teignbridge, Devon, England, UK

An abandoned working known for mercury or uranium minerals.

There does appear to be access to the mine, but it is not recommended due to the amount of radioactivity within the adit.

Dust and radon from the site could certainly be toxic, especially within the mine and if any dust was raised by extraction of minerals especially.

The site is known for arsenic and uranium minerals but no further specimens will be coming (I hope!) due to the dangers of collecting from the site.

There are meant to be external dumps, though.
