Herculano Mine

El Puntal, Campos de Golf area, Cartagena, Murcia, Spain

Herculano mine, or Mina Herculano, is a small mine near Cartagena that produces fine specimens of Calcite.

The Foro de Minerales link shows a huge number of photos of different types of Calcite from the mine – apparently, the deeper you go, the richer and more unusual the Calcite.
