Hartcliffe Rocks Quarry

Felton, Winford, North Somerset, England, UK

A former aggregate quarry cutting into carboniferous limestone, which also produced a range of mineral specimens.

The site has been a SSSI since 1991.

Specimens of baryte, calcite, various iron ores and quartz have been found at the site. Sometimes, the site produces the quartz known locally as ‘bristol Diamonds’.
